Gunner files complaint against 'Golden Baba', probe ordered

ALLAHABAD: Days after Juna Akhara expelled Sudhir Makkar aka ‘Golden Baba’ for indiscipline, his security personnel alleged that the former had threatened him with a fake case.After the charges, the Mela police withdrew the gunner allotted to Makkar and ordered the crime branch to probe the case.On Sunday, the Mela police ordered a probe after the constable allotted to Makkar as a gunner submitted an application to SP (Mela security) Ashutosh Mishra against him.If the allegations levelled by the constable are found true, a case would be lodged against Makkar. "He said that Makkar had threatened the gunner that he would lodge a fake case of theft against him, fasely accusing him of stealing Rs 42,000 cash and golden chains.The constable immediately informed his seniors and briefed them about the incident.SP Ashutosh Mishra said, "The crime branch officials have already started probing the charges levelled by the constable against Golden Baba .”He added that the Shri Panch Dashnaam Juna Akhara had claimed that several criminal cases were pending against Makkar.The expelled saint had been provided with the gunner on November 30 by the Mela police.
