'Shatabdi to Allahabad by March-end'

ALLAHABAD: Union minister of state for railways Manoj Sinha said that a new Shatabdi train would be launched between Allahabad and Lucknow once the doubling of tracks on Allahabad-Phaphamau route is completed.Sinha inaugurated the newly-developed Subedarganj railway station in Allahabad on Saturday. He also announced that the last unmanned crossing on broad gauge, at Khairahi on Chopan-Chunar section of North Central Railway (NCR), has been eliminated.There are no more unmanned crossings on the broad gauge network in the country, said officials. Kumbh will continue till March. I will fulfill the promise),” said Sinha. On being asked about the incomplete construction of rail over bridge (ROB) at Bhagwatpur near Bamrauli, he said, “We are in talks with the Indian Air Force and will soon find an amicable solution for it.”The construction of ROB was halted after the IAF objected to its height. IAF officials said that the ROB would hinder the landing of aircraft at its Bamrauli Airport airfield.
