Ram temple issue will be resolved in SC: Rupani

Allahabad: Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani on Friday blamed the Congress for politicizing the Ram temple issue, saying the matter would be resolved in Supreme Court.Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed that the government respects the law of the land and will take steps accordingly, he added. Rupani was on a visit to Kumbh Mela area on the invitation of deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma at the behest of UP government. Rupani took dip in the Sangam and prayed at Bade Hanuman temple and Akshayvat tree in Akbar Fort.Talking to reporters, Rupani said: “Congress Ram Mandir mamle ko political kar rahi he, delay kar rahi he aur intentionally kar rahi he (Congress is politicising the Ram temple issue, delaying it and doing this intentionally).”He said, “Modiji nay spasht kiya hai ki hum kanoon kaa aadar kartay hen aur court may ye mamla jaldi se jaldi sulajh jaega (Prime Minister Narendra Modi has clarified that we respect the law and the matter will be soon resolved in the court).”He was referring to an interview given by Modi to a news agency on January 1, wherein he had said that ordinance on Ram Mandir could come only after legal process gets over and the apex court gives its verdict.He said, “Our next step on the issue will be in accordance with the law.” Earlier, Dharm Sansad convened by Vishwa Hindu Parishad on February 4 gave a call for giving a second chance to Modi for building Ram temple at Ayodhya.
