But because of the technical snag, it got delayed by around 3 hours.Railway officials confirmed that train came to Chamrola junction at 6:35am and departed for Delhi at 8:12am after rectifying the glitch.“It was a case of cattle run over because of which some problem was caused in pantograph (the system which gets power from the overhead wire) number one of the train, after which the alternative pantographs two and three were activated for the further journey. The train was thoroughly inspected before commencing the journey for Delhi”, said the Chief Public Relation Officer of NCR, Gaurav Krishna Bansal The passengers on board were mostly railways officials and some journalists who were shifted to another train.“The technicians have thoroughly inspected the train and it will commence its commercial run from February 17, as per earlier announced schedule”, said the CPRO.Two days back, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal , while speaking at the function held at Allahabad Junction on Thursday evening had said "The train is very special and soon 30 more such trains would be introduced and in the coming years, orders for 100 more would be placed, which means every corner of the country would be connected through this train”.
