It was Varanasi calling for 'Dhadak' actor, Janhvi Kapoor , who reached the city on Monday evening from Lucknow where she is shooting for a biopic on Gunjan Saxena, the first female combat pilot of the Indian Air Force . During her two-day stay in the city, the actress went for darshan at Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Tuesday. Dressed in a white chikankari suit, Janhvi sought blessings of Lord Shiva on the eve of her birthday. She also enjoyed the Banarasi lassi, chaat and paan and also shared the pics of these moments with her fans through her social media account.Janhvi performing Ganga Aarti (BCCL/ Arvind Kumar)Later, accompanied by her father Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi, Janhvi attended the Ganga Aarti at Dashshwamedh Ghat. Amidst chanting of the mantras, she performed the puja and even did a deep daan in river Ganga. I wanted to visit Tirupati (in Andhra Pradesh) again, as mom (Sridevi) used to climb up to the temple every year for her birthday when she was working. I went there earlier this year and wanted to go again on my birthday, but arrangements couldn’t be made on time. I might go next week,” she informed.When quizzed about her current project, in which she plays one of India’s first woman combat aviators to be posted in Kargil during the 1999 war, the actress said, “I have a day’s work left in Lucknow. After which I resume work next month.
