Robbers throw chilli powder in man’s eyes, flee with Rs 9.5L

In the first case, Rs 7 lakh was looted from a parked scooter at a petrol pump in Arail area in the evening.On Friday, two clerks were robbed of Rs 10.90 lakh while they were on their way to deposit the money in a bank.
The slaughterhouse was owned by Mohammed Amir and Shahid was supposed to withdraw the amount and give it to the former.An FIR has been lodged against unidentified persons and so far no arrests have been made in connection with the case.The inspector said that probe teams have been deployed to nab the miscreants.This is the third case of snatching and loot reported within 10 days from the city.
Allahabad: A group of two unidentified persons robbed a clerk working at a slaughterhouse of Rs 9.5 lakh by throwing chilli powder in his eyes in the posh SP Marg area, under the jurisdiction of Civil Lines police station, on Friday.As per reports, the complainant Mohammed Shahid had withdrawn the cash from a private bank and was going towards his motorcycle, parked on the road, when the accused attacked.They attacked him from behind, throwing chilli powder in his eyes and fled after snatching away the bag containing the cash.Shahid tried to resist but was unable to overpower the attackers.Inspector of Civil Lines police station, Shahid was working as a clerk in an Unnao-based slaughterhouse.
