MIRZAPUR: On the second day of her Ganga voyage, when Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi reached her first destination Maa Vindhyavasini Temple, a group of people clogged the staircase and chanted pro-Modi slogans.Priyanka, however, remained unruffled and continued to spend time inside the temple, meeting the head priest Sumit Pandey and devotees. She was also seen reading verses and chanted hymns before she performed aarti, remaining punctilious about rituals while keeping her head covered. Shen then wrote a note in the visitor's book before heading off to a 700-year-old Kantit Dargah Sharif."Report card, promotions, all of it sounds good, but there's nothing on the ground. I am meeting people every day and everybody is in distress," Priyanka said talking to the media, while taking a potshot at CM Yogi Adityanath 's press conference on his two-year completion. Modi chants were also raised by a group of people when she reached Sindhora Ghat, but the Congress general secretary did not pay attention and moved on. Talking to the media she said "After Congress government came to power in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, farm loans were waived. But under this government, the industrialists and businessmen are the only ones who are happy."
