ALLAHABAD: The high-powered NAAC team of five members (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) began the three-day inspection of Allahabad University on Tuesday.The team is headed by chairman Prof Indra Vardhan Trivedi, former vice-chancellor of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.The team would access the ground situation at AU before awarding a suitable rank under NAAC which would be for a period of Five years.
The last NAAC ranking of AU (B+) was awarded way back in 2003 and had expired in 2008.
AU VC, Prof R L Hangloo presented his five year vision document to members at the North Hall of the Arts campus of AU.
As compared to this, several of the constituent colleges of AU had not only got their individual NAAC ranking but had also renewed it from time to time.The team met executive council (EC), heads of all departments and deans.
