ALLAHABAD: Apart from Bharatiya Janata Party's poll strategies, the RSS (Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh) cadre has too deputed a team of 10-10 volunteers at all 4,327 polling booths in 12 assembly constituencies of Allahabad district.These volunteers - professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers as well as slum-dwellers - have been assigned duties to take more and more people to polling booths concerned and ensure that votes should be polled in favour of BJP candidates.Vibhag Prachark Manoj Kumar told TOI, "Every booth has a team of 10 volunteers headed by one booth pramuh." He further added "apart from booth pramukh, we have also appointed sector pramukh for better coordination among volunteers and booth heads".Kumar also revealed that RSS volunteers have already stepped in for the BJP candidates in all 12 assembly segments - including City North, City South, City West, Bara, Karchana, Meja, Soraon, Koraon, Phulpur, Phaphamau, Pratappur and Handia.A senior RSS functionary said, "Every assembly seat has 350 - 400 polling booths and apart from appointing booth heads, we have also deputed volunteers at block levels." He also claimed "volunteers including students have assigned duties at their allocated polling booths and centers".Under the strategy, the RSS cadre has too focused on booth management and the exercise of appointing booth pramukh (booth head) across the state comprising six prants including Kashi, Gorakh, Awadh, Kanpur, Brij and Meerut was being carried out. Besides, the RSS volunteers were also holding samvad with BJP workers to draft the strategy for particular assembly seat.Apart from appointing assembly constituency coordinator and sector coordinators in all 403 seats in UP, the RSS cadre has roped in people of all professions and slum-dwellers to make its election strategy a big success.In Kashi prant alone, which comprises 10 districts including Kashi (Varanasi), Prayag (Allahabad), Sultanpur, Amethi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Bhadohi, Ghazipur, Chandauli and Pratapgarh, as many as 24,000 booth pramukh were assigned duties.In Prayag vibhag, a series of meetings and interaction sessions were organised wherein cadres had interacted with volunteers and discussed the issues on different aspects, including poll preparations.
