Yoga day observed in Sangam city

The day began with a talk on the importance of yoga followed by a one-hour yoga session for all personnel. Hundreds of students, teachers and employees observed the day through doing asans, pranayam, meditation etc.At KV Old Cantt, students, principal and teachers of the school observed the day by practising yoga in the morning assembly. "A Mega Yoga Event was organized at NCR Headquarters, Subedarganj. There was also a talk conducted by yoga expert Mr Ambrish Kumar, who is an acclaimed yoga trainer, trained at Ved Vigyan Maha Vidyapeeth, Bangalore.As Part of 'International Yoga day', soldiers of Red Eagle Division participated in a yoga session with a view to promoting good health and healthy living. Principal Shalini Dikshit said, "Apart from yoga classes, which form the part of time-table, students and teachers should make it a habit of practising yoga on a daily basis.

ALLAHABAD: The International Yoga Day was observed by several organisations of the Sangam city on Wednesday.At a function held at Allahabad University vice-chancellor Prof R L Hangloo presided, while physical educationist and yoga expert Dr Bhaskar Shukla was the resource person of the yoga session that was conducted at the flag-hoisting ground of AU between 6:30 to 7:30am. Hundreds of students, teachers and employees observed the day through doing asans, pranayam, meditation etc.At KV Old Cantt, students, principal and teachers of the school observed the day by practising yoga in the morning assembly. Yoga teacher S D Dubey taught several asanas at the assembly ground of the school. Principal Shalini Dikshit said, "Apart from yoga classes, which form the part of time-table, students and teachers should make it a habit of practising yoga on a daily basis. One may not realize the benefit now, but when practised for several years, the heath benefit speaks in volume."A Mega Yoga Event was organized at NCR Headquarters, Subedarganj. The event was held in the badminton hall of the North Central Railway officers' club "Spandan". Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, GM, NCR, MC Chowhan said that it is due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the entire world is celebrating the unparalleled heritage of Indian culture in the form of the 'International Yoga Day'. He said that in view of the continuous changes and stress in daily life, yoga has become a necessity. He underscored that the regular practice of yoga improves both physical and mental health of the practitioner.At Indian Institute of Information Technology at Jhalwa campus, Prof US Tiwari, officiating director, inaugurated the morning event. He spoke on the increasing popularity of yoga in the world in the wake of rapid advancement of technology and modern ways of living. Dr Vinod from Beli Hospital explained the yogic reasons for being healthy one in the life. It is better to practise yoga to prevent any possibility of diseases. Convener of programme Dr Akhilesh Tiwari said that this year, the institute had started a week-long yoga camp for IIIT-A people from June 15 at the campus where senior faculty members from Art of Living, Allahabad imparted the training to 50 people comprising students and staff.At the headquarters, Central Air Command (CAC), IAF organised Yoga Day on its Bamrauli Campus in Allahabad. The programme was held under the patronage of Air Marshal SBP Sinha, AVSM VM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, CAC. The Yogic Asan as were taught by a team of qualified instructors, led by Master Warrant Officer Subedar Singh, a renowned yoga instructor.
