Allahabad Development Authority remove encroachers from 4500 sqmt land

ALLAHABAD: A joint team of Allahabad Development Authority (ADA), local police force, PAC and Allahabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) carried out an extensive anti-encroachment drive at Kalinidipuram locality of the city, on Tuesday. "The land belongs to ADA and is worth Rs 9-10 crores which was freed from the clutches of encroachers in Tuesday's drive", said the official. "We have verbally instructed inspector Dhoomanganj to ensure that the piece of land is kept free from encroachment in future and would be communicating the same through official communique", said the Secretary. The authorities removed encroachment from an area spanning in 4500 square meter (sq/mt).According to ADA secretary Gunakesh Sharma there was large scale encroachment on this piece of land, which was divided in two parts one being around 2600 sq/mt while the other was of about 2000 sq/mt. The team was backed by a large number of police and PAC personnel.

The authorities removed encroachment from an area spanning in 4500 square meter (sq/mt).According to ADA secretary Gunakesh Sharma there was large scale encroachment on this piece of land, which was divided in two parts one being around 2600 sq/mt while the other was of about 2000 sq/mt. "The land belongs to ADA and is worth Rs 9-10 crores which was freed from the clutches of encroachers in Tuesday's drive", said the official. Along with several make shift huts, a two storyed building too was demolished in the drive, he added.The drive, which lasted for around 3.5 hours, started at around 1 pm and lasted till 4:30pm. The team was backed by a large number of police and PAC personnel. "There was slight resistance by the locals but the same was countered by the police which was accompanying the anti-encroachment squad, said Sharma.He also informed that the vice-chairman of ADA, B C Goswami has instructed that it is the responsibility of the local police, under whose jurisdiction the encroachments are removed, to see that the same is not encroached. "We have verbally instructed inspector Dhoomanganj to ensure that the piece of land is kept free from encroachment in future and would be communicating the same through official communique", said the Secretary.
