ALLAHABAD: Reacting sharply over the decision of All India Akhara Parishad (AIAP) to declared 14 controversial and self-proclaimed godmen from across the country as fake, head of Pari Akhara, Sadhvi Trikal Bhawanta has claimed that the parishad has no right to announce any person 'saint' or to declare any saint as 'fake'. She urged the government to probe into the activities of the 13 akharas and the property owned by their office-bearers. Akhara Parishad has no right to lead the entire Hindu community or judge anyone, she added. Bhawanta also claimed that there are many panth in Hindu society and saints have been coming from different panth and sects for years. She said that the Akhara Parishad could not be of the highest order. It has right to control the activities of 13 akharas only.She also questioned whether the parishad has no prior information about those whose names were released by it on September 10 and made saint or mahamandleshwar by the parishad itself. The parishad only swung into action only when Ram Raheem was sent behind the bars.Bhawanta urged the Central and state government to probe into the activities of akharas and the property held by its office-bearers. If everything is found in order after probe, then only the government or the society could provide them power or right. She accused the Akhara Parishad of working beyond its jurisdiction.
