Kisan Mukti Sansad to converge at parliament street in Allahabad

But Finance Minister Arun Jaitely has allowed more than Rs 10 lac crores of corporate dues, including MNCs, to be put in NPA accounts which will not be recovered. After demonitisation, cashless transfers and GST this will be the fourth major attack on employment avenues in the state. He lambasted that since BJP has come to power farmer loans have increased 55% in 3 years from Rs 8.1 lac crores to 12.6 lac crores and peasant suicides have increased.BJP central government claims it has no money for loan waivers and they have given an affidavit in 2015 in the Supreme Court that 1.5 times MSP cannot be implemented. He has also foregone corporate taxes worth Rs 6.11 lac crores in 2015-16 to help the MNCs, the Corporates, Ambanis, Adanis, etc.Mital added that both the PM and UP Chief Minister are inviting foreign companies, particularly US giants to invest in agro processing, a sector which was reserved earlier for small scale employment in villages.

ALLAHABAD: More than 1 lakh farmers are expected to converge at parliament street for a two day Kisan Mukti Sansad on November 20 and 21 from all over the country.Ashish Mital, general secretary of All India Mazdoor Sabha (AIKMS), said that the Kisan Sansad will press upon the Prime Minister to fulfil his promise of doubling farmers' income, waiving all the loans of all peasants and agricultural workers, of increasing the MSP of all crops to 1.5 times the cost of production and to prevent farmers from dying.The peasants shall hold a Kisan Mahila Sansad with 543 representatives on day one and pass a bill on loan waiver which will later on be presented in Parliament as a private members bill, he informed.The Kisan Sansad will also press for decreasing the cost of production of crops by lowering taxes on diesel and demanding that MNCs lower the prices of seeds, fertilizers and insecticides.
