UP civic polls: From illiterate to B.Tech, there are 24 for mayor seat

ALLAHABAD: When the voters of Sangam City would cast their votes for electing the next mayor of the city on November 26, they will have the option among 24 candidates, each having different level of education. "Irrespective of the fact that I will advocate for candidate of my party, I personally feel that every public representative should be well educated especially in the changed circumstances when internet, online system etc are so important. "Jaida pade-likhon ko vote denge to wo hamari baat sunge kya (If I vote more qualified candidate, will he listen to me, for people like me, the one who is accessible and solves the problem is better candidate, whether he is well qualified or high school pass), said Vijay Shankar keserwani , a businessman of the city. There are two engineers too among these dozens candidates.Among the candidates in fray for the post of mayor, two are engineers, one each is postgraduate and intermediate, four each having bachelor and degree in law, seven are high school pass, two are junior high school pass, two are educated of just primary level and one is illiterate.However, barring most of the independent candidates, all the major political parties, barring BSP, have fielded well qualified candidates.
