ALLAHABAD: A criminal identified as Amit Kushwaha, sustained bullet injuries in an encounter with police at Parade ground in Ghoorpur area of Allahabad on Sunday. He was a member of a gang allegedly involved in kidnapping an 8-year-old boy on Thursday.The boy was rescued on Saturday. Three more criminals identified as Rajesh Patel, Manoj Sahu and Ankit Kushwaha were also arrested in the encounter. The police claimed that these four were members of the gang involved in kidnapping the boy from Gohaniya area and sought Rs 20 lakh as ransom for his release.
