IELTS academy inaugurated

Amritsar, February 21District Education Officer (Elementary) Shishupal Kaushal inaugurated the Oxford IELTS Academy at Chogawan today. Block Education Officer Gurpal Singh Bhular, Shivraj Singh, Director, Cooperative Bank among others were present. Speaking on the occasion, the DEO lauded the efforts of the local team of Sandeep Singh Buttar and Balraj Kaur for selecting the border village for opening the institute. He said, “Currently, most of students prefer to study abroad after Class XII. The students of rural areas have to leave their villages to study in such institutes in the city.” He said that residents of border areas had been facing a shortage of good training schools.
