Four arrested with heroin Tarn Taran: The district police have arrested four persons for possessing drugs. As much as 540 gm of heroin was seized. A police party, headed by ASI Hardeep Singh, SHO, Sarai Amanat Khan, arrested Jugraj Singh Joga and Gurpal Singh Gora of Sarai Amanat Khan village and recovered 265 gm of heroin. The Valtoha police arrested Buta Singh of Dholan and Dilawar Singh of Amarkot with 275 gm of heroin. Man robbed of Rs 78K Three youths of Assal village, 40 km from here, robbed an employee of a finance firm of Rs 78,770 near the village on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Manav, Nona and Kuldeep of Assal village. The victim, Umesh Chand, was on his way back to Zira on his bike after collcting payment from borrowers when he was targeted. The accused are at large, the police said. — OC
