Tribune News serviceAmritsar, February 20The State Education Department is providing vocational skill-based courses to students at government schools under National Skills Qualification framework through an outsource system. The district authorities will provide books to schools for such courses and allot the courses to the institutes. Courses on topics including retail, health care, information technology, agriculture, beauty and wellness, auto-mobile and others are being provided to students from ninth standard onwards. As of now, these courses are provided in 54 government schools. Under the arrangement, the government has initiated courses through collaboration with various private entities.
