According to information, the truck was carrying 500 wheat bags, weighing around 25 tonnes. The driver, Sukhdev Singh, and office bearers of the Truck Union, Ajnala, alleged that the Amritsar Improvement Trust had used substandard material which led to the incident. The Amritsar Improvement Trusthas filed a complaint at Civil Lines police station.

The driver, Sukhdev Singh, and office bearers of the Truck Union, Ajnala, alleged that the Amritsar Improvement Trust had used substandard material which led to the incident. Meanwhile, Rajiv Sekhri, Superintending Engineer, AIT, alleged that the truck was overloaded. The Amritsar Improvement Trusthas filed a complaint at Civil Lines police station. According to information, the truck was carrying 500 wheat bags, weighing around 25 tonnes.
