Amritsar, July 9 The SGPC has volunteered to serve food for free to the drug addiction centres in Amritsar. The initiative was taken on the request of the district administration. The food will be served to drug addicts, who have been admitted to various Out-Patient Opioid Assisted Treatment (OOAT) centres and their relatives. Deputy Commissioner KS Sangha said he had requested the SGPC about it. “If religious organisations and NGOs joined hands with us, it will be of great help in our mission to fight the drug menace,” he said.
