BATHINDA: Faridkot police on Wednesday released the pictures of six persons suspected to be behind a Rs 7.8-lakh bank heist at Doad village in Faridkot district The pictures have been procured from the footage of a CCTV near the bank branch. They then entered the branch and asked bank employees to stand in line by raising hands and collected the cash. Six persons on three motorbikes, with faces covered, looted Rs. 7.8 lakh from Punjab and Sind Bank 's branch in Doad village at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon.The assailants had taken along with them the digital video recorder (DVR) of the bank's security cams and the gun of its guard. They collected the cash at by pointing the gun at three employees of the bank and a few customers. Eyewitnesses said the six first snatched the gun of the guard, Balwinder Singh. They then entered the branch and asked bank employees to stand in line by raising hands and collected the cash. They had threatened to kill anyone who tried to raise the alarm. Before leaving the bank, they picked up the DVR. SSP Raj Bachan Singh Sandhu said they were trying to identify the six men. "Teams are looking for them. A case has been registered," he said.
