Financier robbed of Rs 22,000, scooter at gunpoint

LUDHIANA: Two motorcycle-borne miscreants robbed a financier of Rs 22,000 and his scooter at gunpoint near Lohara and fled. The police have been scanning CCTVs installed in the area to identify the accused. The accused asked him if he has suffered any injuries.“As I replied that I am all right the accused flashed a gun and threatened to keep mum. The miscreants walked to him and helped him in standing up. The man was returning home after collecting payment.Gurdeep Singh, 58, of Baba Deep Singh Nagar said that after collecting cash from Lohara when he reached near Star Public School in Lohara, the miscreants hit his scooter following which he fell on the road.

The man was returning home after collecting payment.Gurdeep Singh, 58, of Baba Deep Singh Nagar said that after collecting cash from Lohara when he reached near Star Public School in Lohara, the miscreants hit his scooter following which he fell on the road. The miscreants walked to him and helped him in standing up. The accused asked him if he has suffered any injuries.“As I replied that I am all right the accused flashed a gun and threatened to keep mum. The accused robbed cash from me and also took away my scooter,” said Gurdeep Singh.The victim told that he was keeping Rs 10,000 cash and mobile in pocket while Rs 12,000 cash was in the scooter.Thereafter, the victim borrowed mobile from a passerby and informed the police Inspector Davinder Singh , SHO at police station Shimlapuri said that the police launched a manhunt for the arrest of the accused. The police have been scanning CCTVs installed in the area to identify the accused. FIR has also been lodged in the case.
