Complaint against Sukhbir, other SAD leaders for disrespecting ‘sacred word’

As the act was committed in Chandigarh any action can be taken by the police in Chandigarh.” BATHINDA: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) general secretary Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala has filed a complaint against Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) president Sukhbir Badal, MLA Bikram Singh Majithia and other leaders of their party for disrespecting the report of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission in which the name of Guru Granth Sahib was written repeatedly.Jaskaran said, “Sukhbir, Majithia and other SAD leaders had thrown the report of Justice Ranjit commission on ground in which Guru Granth Sahib was mentioned over a hundred times and it was trampled on. Though there are many other documents, including newspapers, in which the name of Guru Granth Sahib is unintentionally disrespected, here the SAD leaders, knowing well the ‘sacred word’ has been written, disrespected it, which we could not tolerate.”The Akali leaders had put copies of the Justice Ranjit commission report on sale in Chandigarh on August 26 and thrown its pages on the ground.When contacted, Faridkot senior superintendent of police (SSP) Rajbachan Singh Sandhu said, “The Bajakhana police station received a complaint and has recorded it in the daily dairy register (DDR).
