ABOHAR: SAD senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Balwinder Singh Bhunder stirred a controversy by making ‘Badshah Darvesh’ reference for party patron Parkash Singh Badal. They are facing the heat because of their alleged involvement in the sacrilege incidences in the state, said Jakhar, adding that the Badals and their party has been exposed for hurting the sentiments of the people of the state while safeguarding Dear Sacha Sauda interests. Notably, Tenth Guru Gobind Singh is called ‘Badshah Darvesh’.The comparison of Badal senior with the Guru has drawn flak from various Sikh leaders, who have demanded strict action against Bhunder.Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singhwala, senior SAD (Amritsar) leader spearheading a series of protests against Badals and the Akalis for their reported role in the incidences of sacrilege in the state, said Bhunder has crossed all limits of Sikh maryada. While termining the incident as most unfortunate, he appealed the Akal Takht to take note of the issue and take action against Bhunder.Meanwhile, reacting to it, Punjab Congress president Sunil Jakhar termed it not only a case of blasphemy but height of arrogance. “It is a clear case of blasphemy, for which they will meet the same fate as the people who dressed up like Tenth Guru or try to imitate the great Masters in their arrogance,” he added.The Badals and their party have lost their mental balance due to the ire of Sikh Sangat.
