Amritsar: Key accused in Ladi abduction and murder case arrested

AMRITSAR: The Organized Crime Control Unit of Punjab Intelligence Wing arrested the prime accused and mastermind in the abduction and killing of Gurdaspur resident Ladi.Anti-terror squad chief Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh said that Ladi was kidnapped on May 19, 2018 from Tarsika area in Amritsar and later on he was strangulated to death.His body was first buried in a pit near Dasuya, Hoshiarpur and later on, it was exhumed, cut into pieces and disposed of in Uchhi Bassi canal near Mukerian.After the case was transferred to the Organised Crime Wing of Punjab Police, a team, headed by assistant inspector general Sandeep Goel, began the investigation followng which the accused was arrested.Giving details of the mastermind, Gama , Kunwar said he had more than 15 cases of heinous crimes against him, including rape, murder, kidnapping, extortion and ransom registered in Punjab and other states.He belongs to Gujjar Community and was presently residing in Ludhiana area.“The victim is also from the same community and the motive behind this crime was to settle some personal score,” Singh said.
