21 e-rickshaws flagged off for pollution free ride

This SBI van will provide its services at Bathinda city and cantonment area. A kind of mini bank, the van offers all banking facilities on wheels including ATM, new account opening services and information about loans and other banking schemes. This has enabled the poor persons to earn two square meals. They said that the State Bank of India will be giving more such rickshaws in future and anyone willing to get such rickshaw can walk into the nearest SBI branch for further details.On the occasion a new mobile ATM van was also flagged off which has been readied at a cost of Rs 15 lakh. BATHINDA: In a bid to provide pollution free ride to people, Bathinda district administration with support from State Bank of India flagged off 21 e-rickshaws on Friday.Deputy Commissioner Praneet, ADC (Development) Sakshi Sawhney, commissioner Municipal Corporation Rishi Pal, Chief General Manager SBI Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh, DGM Ajmer Sethi, Regional Manager Suresh Goyal, AGM Rakesh Jindal and Som Nath Goyal, Chief Managers Baljit Singh, Prem Garg, Ishwar Garg, Manager Amit Bansal, Deputy Managers Rajiv Tinna, Rajesh Ranjan and Vikram Shah flagged off the e-rickshaws.DC Praneet and CGM Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh said that the beneficiaries of e-rickshaws have each been given loan from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh on low interest without any collateral security that allows it to be re-paid in five years under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.
