8-month-old baby drowns in Jalandhar, 3 killed in Kapurthala

JALANDHAR/KAPURTHALA: An eight-month-old girl child drowned in the water accumulated on roads of Preet Nagar area of Jalandhar on Sunday night.The girl’s parents, who hail from Rajasthan , had put up a vend in the area during Sodhal Mela. The mother and the child went to sleep on a table at night.In the morning, the child was found dead in water a little distance away.Officials said water inundated the area due to continuous rain and the child must have fallen from the table and drowned.
