Amritsar: Having triggered the latest political storm in the SAD by revolting against party president Sukhbir Singh Badal, veteran Akali leaders Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Rattan Singh Ajnala and Sewa Singh Sekhwan are likely to decide on their next course of action after Diwali.Khadoor Sahib MP Brahmpura, on Monday, indicated at forging an alliance with like-minded leaders and keeping political options open, with just one rider: he won’t work under Sukhbir as the president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). When contacted, Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) leader Balwinder Singh Bains, MLA from Ludhiana South, said they were keeping an eye on the political explosion in SAD and were in touch with “pro-Punjab” leaders.A day after he publicly demanded the resignation of SAD chief Badal and general secretary Bikram Majithia, Brahmpura said on Monday that he, Ajnala, Sekhwan, and former MLAs Amarpal Singh Bony and Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, would hold a meeting after Diwali to contemplate over the present political scenario of the state and their future course of action.While he indicated at a possible political alliance, he refused to divulge anything.
