Phoolka draws Congress and BJP's ire for objectionable remark

AMRITSAR: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader HS Phoolk came under flak for his controversial statement with regards to Nirankari Bhawan grenade blast.On Monday, Congress MLA Rajkumar Verka lodged a complaint against Phoolka at police station Cantonment. Only someone suffering from mental instability could come out with such a despicable and nonsensical statement.” He was accompanied by Congress MLAs Inderbir Singh Bolaria and Sunil Dutti.“Phooka’s statement is highly divisive and will demoralize the Indian Army ," said Rajkumar while talking to media persons after lodging a complaint against Phoolka adding that they had demanded registration of the case under section 124 A of IPC.Notably after the grenade blast at Nirankari Bhawan on Sunday, Phoolka had stated,“ Army chief came and made a statement. To prove his statement, he could have orchestrated the attack”.Senior BJP leader Laxmi Kanta Chawla burnt the effigy of Phoolka in protest against, what she said, ‘highly objectionable remark” against Indian Army chief.“Terrorists have made an attempt to disrupt the peace of Punjab by attacking the Nirankari Bhawan, in that context Phoolka’s statement had only rubbed salt on the wounds of Punjab and have insulted the Indian Army,” she said.Meanwhile, chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh who was in Amritsar on Monday said “AAP leader was apparently unstable.
