Sacrilege: No bail for 6 dera men

He had admitted to committing sacrilege on directions from “some persons”. BATHINDA: The court of Bathinda additional district and session judge Lalit Kumar Singla on Monday rejected bail applications of six followers of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda , who are accused in three cases of sacrilege Of the six, Jatinderbir Arora alias Jimmy and Baljit Singh are accused in three cases each, while Gurpavittar Singh, Sukhmandar Singh, Rajbir Singh and Rajinder Kumar are accused in two cases each.Newlywed Jatinderbir, the main accused, was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on November 7, 2018, on his return from Malasiya after his honeymoon. Others were arrested on November 10 and 11.Three incidents of sacrilege were reported from Bhagta Bhaika village on June 21, June 26 and July 3, 2016, and cases registered under sections 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code at Dialpura police station in Bathinda.A group of people from Bhagta Bhaika had assembled in the court to hear the order and expressed satisfation over the rejection of bail appolications.Jatinderbir had made his confessional statement in trial court in November itsel.
