Lahore varsity gets Guru Nanak chair

This is for the first time that any Pakistani university has created a chair on the name of Guru Nanak Dev.In recent past the Nankana Sahib administration had acquired over 50 acres for setting up a university dedicated to Guru Nanak. AMRITSAR: After announcing that the process of setting up Baba Guru Nanak University at Nankana Sahib has been put on the fast track by Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, vice chancellor of Lahore-based Punjab University, has set up Baba Guru Nanak Research chair in the university.According to university’s Facebook page, vice-chancellor Niaz Ahmad inaugurated the chair on Tuesday to do research on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev.
