Badal, who keeps social engineering strong, is familiar with most households in Lambi, from where he has five times in a row - in 1997, 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017.For the past few months he had not visited any family due to age catching up and a backache. "In the last two elections which Harsimrat has won, Lambi assembly segment has contributed immensely by giving her a big lead. Now again, despite old age, Badal has started to maintain the lead," said Youth Akali Dal Malwa vice-president Ranjodh Singh Lambi. A rally has also been planned in Jhunir town of Mansa, which falls in Sardulgarh assembly segment and is part of Bathinda parliamentary constituency, on March 29 where Badal is expected to participate.A close associate of Badal, SAD general secretary Balwinder Singh Bhundar said, "We will try to take him to the rally, if his health allows."
