TARN TARAN: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has taken strict notice of demolishing of a major portion of darshani deori (main entrance) of Gurdwara Tarn Taran Sahib by Baba Jagtar Singh karsewawale on late Saturday night.Following the incident, the SGPC on Sunday morning suspended the manager of the Gurdwara Partap Singh and have stopped the karsewa group from performing the ‘sewa’ (voluntary service) of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran.SGPC has also formed a three member committee to investigate into the incident and submit its report for further action.SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal told TOI that SGPC would itself preserve the historical deori and not from any karsewa group. “But when karsewa baba’s began demolishing the deori, local sangat objected to it following which the SGPC’s executive body decided on October 18, 2018 to maintain the status quo”.He informed on late Saturday night the Karsewa group again demolished the three out of four domes of the deori without bringing it to the notice of Gurdwara manager or anyone in SGPC.“Today morning we asked Baba stop the karsewa of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, vacate the rooms occupied by karsewa group and also asked them to lift the golak (offering) boxes” said Roop Singh.He informed that the three member committee includes Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Bhai Ram Singhand Gurmeet Singh Buh.“The committee would investigate whether there was any conspiracy behind demolishing of the deori to defame the SGPC and about the role of manager who didn’t bring the issue to the notice to SGPC member or officials ” said Roop Singh.The Gurdwara manager Partap Singh had been suspended and send to Jind
