Amritsar, June 7A head constable and a SAD leader are among four persons booked by the rural police for forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy after they allegedly helped a theft accused get police clearance. Those booked have been identified as Head Constable Chaman Lal, SAD leader Zorawar Singh, Paramjit Kaur and her son Jatinder Singh, both residents of Ajnala. A case under Sections 167, 218, 177, 199, 200, 420, 466, 471 and 120-B of the IPC has been registered. — TNSThe caseHead constable Chaman Lal and SAD leader Zorawar Singh, along with two others, are said to have helped one Jatinder Singh get police clearance to enable the latter to flee abroad. Jatinder was booked under Sections 380, 497 and 120-B of the IPC in 2017.
