Amritsar, June 11 Magician Surjan Singh and his team on Tuesday performed a magic show at Art Gallery in the ongoing summer art camp. The magic show not just invited kids, but also young adults in large numbers. Performing a number of popular tricks, including suspending people in air and pulling things out of the hat, Surjan Singh and his team shared that despite the alternate, more popular forms of entertainment these days, magic shows have not lost their charm. “People still come and watch our shows. They like traditional tricks and we also devise some illusions suiting today’s time. They are even ready to pay the ticket to watch the magic shows,” he added. He said though the struggle to attract audience grows, the shows do get appreciated and promoted as art form at selective platforms. “In ancient times the magicians used to do the magic tricks by going in different small areas and getting some pennies from the people or just some food items, but now the time has changed and today the magicians do their shows on big platforms and usually get a high payment also,” Surjan said.
