ADC’s relieving orders

GurbaxpuriOur CorrespondentTarn Taran, June 13Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Rakesh Kumar has been given relieving orders with immediate effect. Anurag Verma, Financial Commissioner (FC), Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab, issued orders relieving orders on June 12. Allegations were levelled against Rakesh Kumar that his order was against the law, causing loss to the state exchequer. The department, in its orders, mentioned that the ADC was not eligible to be given service extension as he was facing departmental proceedings. Jaskiran Singh, Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, confirmed that the orders had been issued against the ADC.

Gurbaxpuri Our Correspondent Tarn Taran, June 13 Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Rakesh Kumar has been given relieving orders with immediate effect. Kumar superannuated on March 31, but he continued attending the office while claiming that he had already submitted an application to the government on February 7 regarding extension for an year. In fact, he didn’t get extension but still continued with his job. Sources say he did so in connivance with higher officials despite objections of a few employees of his department. Anurag Verma, Financial Commissioner (FC), Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab, issued orders relieving orders on June 12. Verma has sent a copy to the deputy commissioner (DC) to make sure that the ADC is relieved. It is worth mentioning here that ADC Rakesh Kumar was served a charge sheet for his orders regarding encroachment on a piece of common-land, measuring 17 kanals and 9 marlas in Bugha village, Tarn Taran, in favour of sarpanch Gurcharan Singh and his associates. Allegations were levelled against Rakesh Kumar that his order was against the law, causing loss to the state exchequer. The department, in its orders, mentioned that the ADC was not eligible to be given service extension as he was facing departmental proceedings. Jaskiran Singh, Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, confirmed that the orders had been issued against the ADC.
