Amritsar, June 15 A day after the molestation incident in which a sanitation worker of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee was nabbed by devotees, the local police said no such incident was reported to them. Inspector Baldev Singh of Galiara police post said, “We didn’t arrest anyone as no one filed complaint.” However, a team of The Tribune was at the spot when cops, led by an ASI from Galiara police post, had taken accused Sher Singh into custody at around 11 pm on Friday night. The victim’s father had submitted a complaint to the police in presence of SGPC officials. Inspector Baldev Singh said there are several cases which come to light in routine and often found fake. “We did not get any complaint in this regard. Even we did not find anything objectionable about the incident,” he said. The case A sanitation worker of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) was caught by devotees when he was allegedly trying to pull a girl inside a toilet. The police say no complaint has been filed.
