TNSDC office strikeAmritsar: Acting on the call for a pen-down strike by the Punjab DC Office Employees Association, staff at the deputy commissioner’s office observed a strike on Tuesday. The works related to registration of marriages, issuing domicile and caste certificates, etc., came to a halt. Association senior vice president Asunil Kumar said the employees’ demands included hiring of at least 500 employees to meet staff shortage, release of DA arrears and pay revision under new pay panel.
