Amritsar, June 20The Beas police have booked Dayanand of Kot Mehtab village for culpable homicide after a person died during a scuffle over a minor issue. The deceased has been identified as Kishan Lal, a resident of the same village. Geeta Devi, wife of the deceased, stated to the police that she, along with her husband, was ferrying bricks in Kot Mehtab village when Kishan had an argument with Dayanand on Monday. Amid this, Kishan Lal sustained internal injuries. Mohit Kumar, investigating officer, said a case under Section 304 of the IPC was registered against Dayanand who was absconding.
