Yoga way of dealing with stress, disease

Yoga is a way of life.”According to Sarika Malhotra, city-based yoga instructor, “These days people are suffering from multiple problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stress and fatigue. There has been an improvement in their overall health.”Many yoga enthusiasts have come up with different versions in yoga like laughing yoga, especially for kids. I make them do breathing exercise and laughing yoga.

As the world celebrates International yoga Day, residents, who have been practising it, believe that the ancient exercise has helped them overcome diseases. They say yoga must be promoted. Notably, various forms of yoga have come up recently, such as super brain yoga, pranic healing, power yoga and what not to enhance quality of life. “I introduced yoga in my life after I was diagnosed with diabetes. Over the period of time, I have seen a positive change in my sugar level and blood pressure,” says an elderly woman. Pankaj Kumar, a yoga enthusiast, says, “Yoga has transformed my life. I have seen massive decrease in my joint pain. Yoga is a way of life.” According to Sarika Malhotra, city-based yoga instructor, “These days people are suffering from multiple problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stress and fatigue. This is where yoga comes to their rescue. People who are suffering from serious health issues have been trained under me. There has been an improvement in their overall health.” Many yoga enthusiasts have come up with different versions in yoga like laughing yoga, especially for kids. Rohini Vohra, owner of MCKS Pranic Healing and Yoga Centre, believes yoga is pure science and each ‘asana’ has its scientific value in relation to our body and mind. “I have kids, teens and even old ones as my students. Kids these days don’t laugh and don’t play outside. Hence it is really important for today’s kids to do yoga. I make them do breathing exercise and laughing yoga. Due to much usage of electronic gadgets they lack concentration so they need yoga. Coming to teens, they have high level of anxiety and it’s a shock to see young generation suffering from knee and spine problem,” she said.
