Pharmacists welcome designation change

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, July 13The Punjab State Pharmacists’ Association has welcomed the state government’s notification regarding change in names of several designations. The government has changed the names of designations of pharmacist, chief pharmacist grade II, chief pharmacist grade I and Civil Surgeon’s chief pharmacist grade I to pharmacy officer, senior pharmacy officer, chief pharmacy officer and district pharmacy officer, respectively. After a meeting of the association on Saturday, convener Shamsher Singh Kohri and Ashok Kumar said a long pending demand had been fulfilled. Kohri said the association had been fighting for the change in names of designations for the last two decades and finally it yielded result.
