Amritsar, July 13Verka has installed machines at its collection centres to check adulteration of milk. Verka General Manager Harminder Singh Sandhu said machines were capable of checking adulteration in milk within seconds. Sandhu said installation of machines at the level of collection centres would help check adulteration at primary levels which would help them identify the source of adulterated milk. Sandhu added that after testing at collection centres, the quality of milk is again checked at milk plants using sophisticated machines followed by processing and packaging. He said staff at collection centres were also being trained to check adulteration.
