Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, July 15Dinesh Bassi, newly appointed chairman of the Amritsar Improvement Trust (AIT), has instructed officials to clear the pending backlog of files. During his maiden meeting with officials, he directed them to be swift in executing tasks. He informed that a WhatsApp group would be formed for the dwellers to air their grievances pertaining to the AIT schemes. After listening to their grievances, Bassi said ‘rehris’ (carts) would be allowed to install in the earmarked zone. He announced that shanties over AIT land would be removed and occupants would be shifted to flats.
