Indo-Pak fest on Aug 14

Amritsar, july 19The Indo-Pak Friendship Festival will be held on August 14-15, Folklore Research Academy president Ramesh Yadav informed here on Friday. A comprehensive seminar dedicated to the Independence Day would be held during the festival, which will host scholars from India and Pakistan. Every year, the organisation marks Independence Day though cultural and literary activities, following by a candlelight march at the Attari-Wagah checkpost. “Members of the local unit of Australia and New Zealand’s Folklore Research Academy, including Zeeshan, Yazadani, Navdeep Malovala, Swaran Sandhu, Gurpreet Gharidi, will be our special guests this year,” said Ramesh Yadav. The international chapters of Folklore Research Academy in Australia and New Zealand annually mark the event and preserve the demand for peace, stressing for it with India and Pakistan.
