Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, August 17The district Health Department has issued instructions for freezing the release of remuneration to ANMs (Auxiliary Nursing Midwives) who are not filing regular online updates about their work. The civil surgeon has issued instructions to senior medical officers in this regard after the office found that ANMs were reluctant to abide by the norms. ANMs are reluctant as they feel that the work is not a part of their job profile and it will turn them into data entry operators. Civil Surgeon Dr Hardeep Singh Ghai said it was affecting the working of the office, so such instructions have been issued for not releasing the salaries of erring employees.
