Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, August 18The opening phase of the consultative process designated to generate ideas and review performance of banks and their alignment with national priorities was conducted at the zonal level on Saturday and Sunday by the Bank of India in Amritsar. The consultation involved officials from all branches within the zone’s jurisdiction. In a first of its kind consultation, the branches were themselves engaged in self-assessment and deliberated on issues and evolved ideas on future strategy. Sarat Kumar Mishra, General Manager from bank’s head office, was also present in the two-day meet and oversaw conduct of the conclave. “The meet focused on ways and means to increase credit to various sectors of the economy with greater IT content, to bring about innovation and leverage big data analytics.
