Infra bottlenecks: PSIEC chief announces remedial steps

Neeraj BaggaTribune News ServiceAmritsar, September 6After coming to know of infrastructural drawbacks at New Focal Point on the Mehta Road, Punjab State Industry Exports Corporation (PSIEC) chairman Gurpreet Bassi has announced several remedial measures. He informed industrialists that funds for the common effluent treatment plant (CETP) had been received under the Smart City Project and the plant would be installed soon. Besides, plots for fire brigade and ESI Hospital were already earmarked in the Focal Point. He assured that boundary walls around the Focal Point and parks would be established. Meanwhile, a delegation of the New Focal Point Industrial Association handed over a memorandum to the PSIEC Chairman and drew his immediate attention to stagnant water in plots at Focal Point.
