One-week research methodology course begins at GND University

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, September 12As many as 45 university and college teachers, including budding research scholars pertaining to a multiplicity of academic disciplines from across the country, are participating in a one-week short term course on research methodology at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU). The course was inaugurated in the new building of the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) on Thursday. AK Thukral, Professor Emeritus, Deptartment of Botanical & Environmental Sciences, and former Director Research of the GNDU, was the chief guest for the inaugural session. Balwinder Singh, Professor Incharge (Finance & Development) of the university and the course coordinator apprised the participants of the thrust area. Prof Jaspal Singh, head of the University School of Financial Studies, assured cooperation of the department for the course.

AK Thukral, Professor Emeritus, Deptartment of Botanical & Environmental Sciences, and former Director Research of the GNDU, was the chief guest for the inaugural session. Balwinder Singh, Professor Incharge (Finance & Development) of the university and the course coordinator apprised the participants of the thrust area. Highlighting the significance of this discipline in the modern times for the academicians, he added that as directed by the Vice-Chancellor of the GNDU, many such workshops in this domain were in the offing under the FDC, HRDC or Centre for Data Analytics and Research (CDAR) for the benefit of the teaching fraternity as well as for the research scholars. Prof Jaspal Singh, head of the University School of Financial Studies, assured cooperation of the department for the course.
