CAMPUS NOTESAmritsar: DAV International School organised a glitzy Teacher’s Day function here on Saturday. School chairman VP Lakhanpal, regional officer Neelam Kamra and Indrapal Arya too illumined the occasion with their graceful presence. The programme commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a tribute to the great teacher and second President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. TNSCaption contest organisedAmritsar: The PG Department of Punjabi, DAV College, organised a caption writing contest under the Punjabi Literary Club on Saturday. The event was organised under the guidance of Dr Darshandeep Arora, vice-principal and head, department of Punjabi, and Dr Malkit Singh, programme coordinator.

Dr Ramesh Kumar Arya, vice-president, DAV managing committee, New Delhi, and Dr J P Shoor (director PSI and aided schools) of DAVCMC, New Delhi presided over the event as chief guests. The programme commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a tribute to the great teacher and second President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. As many as 60 students participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm. The event was organised under the guidance of Dr Darshandeep Arora, vice-principal and head, department of Punjabi, and Dr Malkit Singh, programme coordinator. Principal Rajesh Kumar was the chief guest. TNS Amritsar: Under Swachhata Hi Seva programme, being run by Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, students of CBSE affiliated school have been asked to send letter to Bapu, conveying the child’s contribution to Swachhata.
