FM announces Rs20-crore development fund for city

Badal announced release of Rs10 crore for restoration work of the Deputy Commissioner office’s building. As announced by the Punjab Government, the funds of up to Rs50 lakh have already been released to the MLAs of consitutencies in Amritsar. Aujla said city was on the priority of development list of the Chief Minister, given its status as a global capital for Sikh community. “Badal also promised to give a push to development works in slum areas and to sanction projects for water treatment as well as providing clean drinking water to all. Traffic management, health and education sector, too, are on the priority list of the state government.”

Delegation of MLAs, MP Aujla meets Manpreet in Chandigarh Amritsar, September 17 Finance Minister Manpreet Badal on Tuesday conducted a meeting with a delegation comprising an MP and MLAs from Amritsar to ascertain the progress of development works and welfare schemes announced by the state government. The meeting had MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla and senior Congress leaders and MLAs, including Sunil Dutti, Rajkumar Verka, Inderbir Singh Bolaria, in attendance.They held holding discussions over the progress of several developmental works being undertaken in the city. Aujla urged the Cabinet Minister to release funds required for the completion of several projects underway. Badal announced release of Rs10 crore for restoration work of the Deputy Commissioner office’s building. He also promised to give additional Rs10 crore for renovation and completion work of Circuit House.
